General information
Permits are available online as 'Taumarunui Reserves' under the Central North Island hunting block.
Lowland forest with open grass areas, the terrain is steep to rolling.
Access
From State Highway 43, turn onto Kururau Road or Otunui South Road, south of Taumarunui. The reserves can be accessed directly off Kururau Road.

Dogs
A separate permit is required to hunt with dogs. All dogs must be avian avoidance certified. Contact the local DOC office for details.
