The occasional fallow deer, pig and goat pass through this block. The adjoining farmers do not allow hunting on their land.
General Information
Permits are available online as 'Whanganui Reserves' under the Central North Island hunting block.
A small tawa forest reserve with moderate to steep topography situated on the true right of the Whanganui River, 26 km north of Whanganui.
Access
There is no land access to this block, the only access is via boat from the Whanganui River.
Landowners
The adjoining farmers do not allow hunting on their land.

Dogs
A separate permit is required to hunt with dogs. All dogs must be avian avoidance certified. Contact the local DOC office for details.
