Image: Michelle Crouchley | DOC

Go for a forest adventure on one of New Zealand’s beautiful Great Walks. Explore the world beneath the giant beech trees – look out for colourful fungi, rare mistletoe and native birds.
  • Who can you kiss under the mistletoe?
  • Find mushrooms in all the colors of the rainbow
  • Touch your toes to the moss – how does it feel?

Download the adventure map (PDF, 1,445K) and check out what you can do.

Go and explore

Look out for the Guardian Post when you get there. On it you'll find a special code word – write it down.

Getting there: The circular Kepler Track begins and ends at the Kepler Track car park, which is at the southern end of Lake Te Anau, about 5 km from Te Anau township.
