Applications for the 2022 Wanaka roar ballot closed at 11.59 pm on 5 November 2021.

Application conditions

  • Include the full name, address, phone number, email address and firearms licence number of the party leader; and full name and firearms licence number for each member of your party.
  • If you are a bow hunter or from overseas and do not hold a New Zealand firearms licence you must include one of the following in the ‘firearms licence’ section:
    • If a bow hunter: BH, your initials and your date of birth.
    • If an overseas hunter: your passport number.
  • Only submit one form for each party.
  • Name changes are discouraged but may be granted at DOC’s discretion.
  • Individual hunters must not apply on more than one ballot form. If they do, they will have all applications removed from the ballot.
  • A maximum of five hunters are permitted per block.

All information provided will be used by DOC solely for purposes for which it is gathered in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. By submitting this form the Applicant consents to the disclosure of their name, contact details and the dates of any permits issued to other hunters holding hunting permits who may request this information from DOC for purposes of coordinating transport arrangements to and from authorised hunting blocks
