Centre of the North Island Walk

Introduction
A short, flat track leads to the geographical centre of the North Island which is marked with a cairn.500 m return via same track
Dog access
Dogs with a DOC permit only. Contact closest DOC office to get a permit. Other pets on conservation land rules.
From the cairn, you can continue up the Mount Titiraupenga Track - a four hr return walk.
The walk starts from the Centre of the North Island Road and Carpark which is accessed using Link and Waimonoa Roads.
From SH30, turn onto Barryville Road, then Link Road. From SH32 turn onto Kakaho Road which becomes Link Road.
