From Dunedin, head north on SH1. Just past the Waitati Store at Blueskin Bay, turn left onto Double Hill Rd and then take the right fork, Semple Rd, which runs into Mountain Rd.
Logging trucks use Double Hill Road and Semple Road - there may be delays.
