A proposal for a bus tunnel from the Routeburn Road in Mt Aspiring National Park to the Hollyford Road in Fiordland National Park has been declined by the Minister of Conservation.
A Fiordland Link Experience monorail and mountain bike track near Te Anau has been proposed by Riverstone Holdings Ltd. The application was been declined by the Minister of Conservation 29 May 2014.
