Fires are not permitted at any time.
Fees apply per person when occupied, or $15 when in use but left vacant of people.
Payments are taken by camp wardens on your arrival, which can only be made by credit or debit card (via eftpos). Plan the total days of your stay in advance to advise the warden so the correct payment can be made.
The DOC/NZMCA Campsite Pass can be used at this campsite except between 20 December 2020 and 8 February 2021.
Backcountry Hut Passes cannot be used at this campsite.
Turn off SH35 onto Anaura Road, about 67 km north of Gisborne. Travel a further 8.7 km down Anaura Road.
Anaura Bay is north of Tolaga Bay and south of Tokomaru Bay.

Anaura Bay Walkway is located at the northern end of Anaura Bay. It is suitable for most ages and fitness levels and takes approx. 2 hours. Walk through coastal forest, grassed hillside and production pine forest.
