Dog access
This is a large campsite with many walks nearby. There are natural hot pools on both sides of Lewis Pass.
Fees

Passes
The DOC Campsite Pass can be used at this campsite.
Campsite Pass bookings must be booked online before occupying a site. If you do not pre-book, bookings may be made by campground staff (if present) and will incur a $10 service charge.
Bookings
Bookings are required all year.
A $10 service fee applies to phone and in-person booking. This is a limited service – book online first. An in-person booking is dependent on there being space available.
Your booking will be for a site, which will be allocated or selected on arrival.

Bird and wildlife watching
You can see kaka, kakariki and other native birds around the campsite and up towards Lake Daniell.
Walking and tramping
Explore the Lewis Pass and Maruia areas from here. Take a short walk to the Sluice Box Gorge or tramp the full Lake Daniell Track - both start at the campsite. Find the Maruia Hot Springs 10 minutes down the road.
Fishing
From Marble Hill you can easily access numerous world class trout fishing rivers.
Hot pools
The Maruia Springs Thermal Resort hot pools are just 10 minutes down the road.
