This is a large campsite with many walks nearby. There are natural hot pools on both sides of Lewis Pass.

Beside SH 7, 6.5 km east of Springs Junction.

Bird and wildlife watching

You can see kaka, kakariki and other native birds around the campsite and up towards Lake Daniell.

Walking and tramping

Lake Daniell track is perfect for a day walk or overnight tramp with your family.  You can also choose from a number of other short family walks to explore around the area. 

Explore the Lewis Pass and Maruia areas from here. Take a short walk to the Sluice Box Gorge or enjoy a tramp to Lake Daniell Hut. Find the Maruia Hot Springs 10 minutes down the road.


From Marble Hill you can easily access numerous world class trout fishing rivers.

Hot pools

The Maruia Springs Thermal Resort hot pools are just 10 minutes down the road.
