Activities

Walk to the historic WWII gun emplacements – the track is a 1 hour walk each way.

Know before you go

  • The east gun emplacement is closed until further notice. Do not enter this structure.
  • Fires are not permitted at any time.
  • Blumine Island/Oruawairua is pest free. Check your boat/kayak and gear thoroughly for stowaways.
