IntroductionThis is a standard eight-bunk hut in the Manawatu.

Access is closed to the public during calving (late May - late August) and may be closed at other times during the year for farm management purposes.

Before you go, buy 1 Standard Hut Ticket (blue for adults, yellow for youth) for each night's stay. Put this in the honesty box at the hut. Or buy a Backcountry Hut Pass that gives unlimited use at most Standard and Serviced huts for a 6 or 12 month period.
You must phone the farm manager to arrange access across private land (Kohunui Station).
Access can be arranged by phoning +64 6 382 5577 at breakfast or in the evening. You must speak to the farm manager - messages will not be responded too. The continued use of access across Kohunui station is dependent on every party gaining permission from the farm manager every time.
Access is closed for calving from late May to late August.
