From Ōpōtiki: East of Ōpōtiki turn off SH35 at Omarumutu and follow Motu Road for approximately 20 km to Toatoa. Follow Takaputahi Road to campsite.
From Gisborne: The campsite is 122 km north of Gisborne. Follow SH2 north to Matawai, then turn on to Motu Road to reach Toatoa. From Toatoa follow the Takaputahi Road to campsite.
Access is via a gravel road.
Suitable for small campervans only.
