Luggate Creek Track

Located in Wānaka area in the Otago region

This short, easy amble leads from Luggate township down to the Clutha River.

From the Luggate Creek bridge, the track meanders along the creek, lined by tall willow trees. The track then cuts across Harris Place and starts heading down to the Clutha River, where it joins the Upper Clutha River Track.

This track is jointly managed by DOC and the Queenstown Lakes District Council.

From Wānaka, drive southeast along SH6 for 12 km to reach the township of Luggate. There are car parks and public toilets along the main road, across from the Luggate Hotel. From there, walk back along the highway to the Luggate Creek bridge, where the track starts.

This is a shared-use track. Follow the mountain bikers code: respect others, respect the rules, respect the track.
