Starting at the picnic area beside the top of Tomahawk Lagoon, the track meanders along the lagoon edge through regenerating bush.

You can continue on to 41-Peg Track on a climb through farmland to Soldiers Monument, commemorating the 49 soldiers from Otago peninsula killed in WW1.
