Nydia Lodge, nestled in the bush on the south coast of Nydia Bay, sleeps up to 50 people in nine bunkrooms.

The lodge is nestled on a large grassed area at the edge of the bush on the south side of Nydia Bay.

Getting there

Nydia Bay, Pelorus Sound. The lodge can be accessed by boat, walking or mountain biking. Water transport can be arranged with operators in Havelock. Walking or mountain biking access is via the Nydia Track.

Fees

Shared occupancy

Adult: $18.00 per night
Youth/child: $9.00 per night

Groups of 11 or more

Adult: $13.50 per night
Youth/child: $7 per night

School and school aged education groups eg Girl Guides

Adults: $12 per night
Youth/child: $7 per night

This gives you a bunk and shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.

Note: A minimum fee of $36.00 for up to 2 people applies per night 1 May - 31 October.

Sole occupancy

$450 per night guarantees sole occupancy of the lodge for your group.

Full payment is required at the time of booking. Schools or charitable groups may pay a $200 deposit to confirm their booking, please contact the Waitohi / Picton Office.

Bookings

Bookings are essential and can be made online all year round. A fee applies to bookings made on your behalf by phone, email or in person

Keys

The lodge is locked year round, please note the access arrangements below:

1 May to 31 October You will receive a lock box code on confirmation of your online booking. The lock box will have a key to access your bunkroom, the kitchen and bathrooms.

1 November to 30 April A hut warden is present who will unlock the premises.

Activities

Nydia Lodge is a great base for boating, walking, fishing, mountain biking and swimming and is well suited to those using the Nydia Track, as well as to large groups.
