Bookings are required year around.

Over the Christmas school holiday period, bookings are for sole occupancy. Outside this period, bookings can be for a bunk room.

A $10 service fee applies to phone and in-person booking. This is a limited service – book online first. An in-person booking is dependent on there being space available.

Situated at Waikawau Bay on the North Eastern coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, 13 km north east of Colville.

The road north of Colville is mostly unsealed, narrow and winding in places and requires careful driving especially during holiday times.

The nearest shop is at Waikawau Bay Campsite. The shop operates from late December until early February, and is only 5 minutes drive, so you can have all the comforts of home and everything you need for your stay during this period.

Colville General Store, a 13 km drive, is the next most convenient store, or the shops at Coromandel township.

Restrictions

  • Strictly no dogs or domestic animals allowed on the premise or property.
  • Strictly no cleaning of fish inside or immediately adjacent to the lodge. (A fish cleaning bench and bucket is provided in the back corner of lodge carpark along with compost bins for compostable waste).
  • No camping permitted on site.
  • Park in marked parking areas and keep left hand garage bay door clear of vehicles so equipment can be accessed.

A great place to swim,  fish, surf, walk or just relax .

Matamataharakeke Track begins opposite the Waikawau Bay campsite office (3 hr return, 6.5 km).
