About this hunting block
Animals present are red deer, and possibly also goats and pigs.
General information
This 3,900 ha block is part of the Remarkables Conservation Area and runs from the upper Nevis Valley floor to the crest of the Hector Mountains. The vegetation is mostly unmodified tussock grassland.
Access
The hunting block adjoins the Nevis Valley Road which is accessed either from Garston in Southland or Bannockburn in Central Otago. This road is closed from the Tuesday after Queens Birthday until 30 September.

Dogs
Dogs are allowed in this block with a hunting permit. If accessing the block over private land, you must have landholder permission to take your dog.
