About this hunting block
Pigs and red deer are present, but populations are highly mobile and tend to move on when disturbed.
General information
This 2,875 ha block is located on a broad plateau between the Clutha and Taieri river systems, a few kilometres northwest of Lake Onslow. The landscape is tussock grasslands, rolling gully systems and upland wetlands.
Access
There are two access points.
- The southwest corner, from Bridge Huts Road. Note this road is closed to vehicle access at the bridge over the Teviot River from the weekend after Queens Birthday to 30 September.
- The southeast corner, from the Lake Onslow Road, 2.5 km past the dam. Beyond this point, this road is closed from the weekend after Queens Birthday to 30 September.

Dogs
Dogs are allowed in this block with a hunting permit. If accessing the block over private land, you must have landholder permission to take your dog.
