This area is open year round with helicopter access available all year. Tahr common in nearby Barrowmans Creek (steep access) and below King Peak (difficult steep access).

Notes

Tahr are common in nearby Barrowmans Creek on TL (steep access) TR faces down to King Peak (difficult steep access). Moderate numbers along Maximillian Range and TR Whymper Glacier. Good numbers of chamois downstream of hut. Tahr control planned for this area in 2010-11.
