Introduction
This is an easy bush walk in the Kaka Point Scenic Reserve that gives the impression that it is very remote, yet almost within the township of Kaka Point.1.6 km loop

The Kaka Point Bush Walk is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in mature native podocarp forest right behind the small town of Kaka Point.
The track ventures behind the Kaka Point campground and then takes you into bush. This track is suitable for the whole family.
You can exit or enter on Rata Street or Totara Street.
There are two signposted, entrance/exit points, off Marine Terrace.
Another access track links the loop track off Rata Street.
There is parking at each entrance for a couple of cars.
