Introduction
This is an easy bush walk in the Kākā Point Scenic Reserve that gives the impression that it is very remote, yet almost within the township of Kākā Point.The Kākā Point Bush Walk is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in mature native podocarp forest right behind the small town of Kākā Point.
The track ventures behind the Kākā Point campground and then takes you into bush. This track is suitable for the whole family.
You can exit or enter on Rata Street or Totara Street.
There are two signposted, entrance/exit points, off Marine Terrace.
Another access track links the loop track off Rata Street.
There is parking at each entrance for a couple of cars.
