Located in Abel Tasman National Park in the Nelson/Tasman region

This is a 34-bunk hut located on the Abel Tasman Coast Track in the Motueka area.

Huts on the Abel Tasman Coast Track don't have gas cooking facilities and lighting. Remember to take a portable stove and fuel, and candles with you.

Prices are per person, per night. NZ rates are for New Zealand visitors and INT rates are for international visitors.

Backcountry Hut Passes and Backcountry Hut Tickets cannot be used at this hut.

  • Anchorage Hut via Abel Tasman Coast Track: High tide track - 4 hr (11.5 km), low tide crossing - 3 hr (8.4 km)
  • Awaroa Hut via Abel Tasman Coast Track: 4 hr 30 min (13.5 km)

Bark Bay Hut can also be accessed via water taxi.
