From Kashmir Road: 2–3 hr/3.2 km via Longview Hut Track.

Around 100 km from Napier or Palmerston North, turn off SH 50 onto Makaretu Road, then into Mill Road – the first road on the left. Mill Road becomes gravel after 7 km – continue on for a further 4 km, then turn left into Kashmir Road and follow this to the car park at the end.

We recommend 4WD or AWD (all-wheel drive) on Kashmir Road due to its steepness.
