This is a large clearing surrounded by trees at the end of a long driveway - a great place to pitch a tent for the night or park your campervan. The clearing is large enough to have a good game of cricket.
Simpsons Domain was the site of an old logging mill. The campsite is located at the place of the mill workers settlement. Another clearing visible from the road is the location of the old mill. All that remains now is a concrete slab.

Very basic, water is not provided. There is one pit toilet.

For large groups, contact the Palmerston North office to obtain the key for access onto the grass.
From SH1, just North of Hunterville turn to the west onto Murimoto Road. Look out for the large brown road sign pointing the way. Continue down Murimoto road until you come to the large white concrete gate to Simpsons Domain and follow the driveway to the carpark at the end.
