Located in Whirinaki Te Pua-a-Tāne Conservation Park in the East Coast region

Standing in a beautiful clearing by the Te Hoe Stream, Central Te Hoe is the most remote hut in the Whirinaki. Popular with hunters and fishermen, this hut can accommodate up to 15 people.

A larger hut accommodating up to 15 people in a fairly remote part of the Whirinaki Te Pua-a-Tane Conservation Park.

Cross a swing bridge to reach this hut standing in a beautiful clearing by the Te Hoe Stream.  It is the most remote hut in the Whirinaki and has the same design as the Central Whirinaki Hut.

Fees

  • Adult (18+ years): $15 per night
  • Youth (5–17 years): $7.50 per night
  • Child/Infant (0–4 years): free

Before you go, buy a hut ticket online for each night's stay. You can print or display the digital ticket on your device, or write down the ticket and confirmation numbers to take with you. You can also buy a Backcountry Hut Pass that allows you to stay at non-bookable DOC huts for a 12 month period.
