About this hunting block

There are good numbers of red deer, fallow deer, pigs and goats in this area.

General

Medium terrain with regrowth bush, scrub and scattered clearings.

Access

Access is via Ruatiti Road and the Mangapurua Track (quad bike or side by side).

Access also possible via the Kaiwhakauka track (by foot).

Huts

There are no huts in area but there are numerous campsites.

Dogs

To hunt with dogs, you need a separate permit. All dogs must be avian avoidance certified, and you must show their certificate at the Whanganui Office before getting the permit.

No hunting from the Mangapurua or Kaiwhakauka Tracks or within 50 metres of them.
