Volunteer to tidy up Catchpool Valley Campsite
Mid-late October: Help to get Catchpool Valley Campsite ready to reopen for the busy summer season.

We need 3-7 volunteers to work for one day. Some experience with scrub bars, hand saws preferred. Low-medium fitness required.

The Catchpool Valley Campsite in Lower Hutt has been closed for the winter.

We need your help to tidy this popular visitor hotspot before it reopens in Labour weekend.

What to expect

Work may include cutting grass, cutting back vegetation, cleaning, filling potholes and spraying.

You must be over the age of 18.

Fitness required: A low-medium level of fitness is required.

Skills required: Some experience using tools such as scrub bars and hand saws is preferred.

Transport: You need your own transport to meet at the Catchpool Valley Campsite on Coast Road.

What to bring

Food: Volunteers need to provide their own food. 

Gear: Find out what to bring. A full gear list will be provided when your volunteering opportunity is confirmed. Any safety gear and all tools will be supplied.
