Volunteer for rubbish collection at Catchpool Valley Campsite
Volunteer to pick up rubbish around the Catchpool Valley Campsite and picnic area in Lower Hutt for a day.

We need 3-8 volunteers to work between September and March. Gloves and rubbish bags are provided. No experience required.

The Catchpool Valley Campsite and picnic area are popular spots for visitors in the Kapiti/Wellington area.

Picking up rubbish is a great way to support the area and keep it looking good.

What to expect

Spend a few hours with your group picking up rubbish. After the clean-up you and your fellow volunteers are welcome to use the Catchpool Centre facilities including its barbeque.

Fitness required: A low level of fitness is required.

Skills required: No skills required. You will be provided with bags and gloves, and a location to leave the rubbish for collection.

Transport: You need your own transport to Catchpool Valley Campsite on Coast Road.

What to bring

Food: Volunteers need to provide their own food. 

Gear: Find out what to bring. A full gear list will be provided when your volunteering opportunity is confirmed. Any safety gear and all tools will be supplied.
