Nature sensory bingo
Use nature to create a colour, shape, or sensory bingo card.

Keep your bingo sheets together in your Nature Journal.

Colour bingo

  1. Create a simple bingo sheet with various colours.
  2. Look out of a window or go outside.
  3. See if you can find the different colours in your surroundings. Record/tick off what you find on your bingo sheet.

Shape bingo

  1. Create a simple bingo sheet by drawing various shapes.
  2. Look out of a window or go outside.
  3. See if you can find the different shapes in your surroundings. Record/tick off what you find on your bingo sheet.

Plant sensory bingo

  1. Download and print the plant sensory bingo table (PDF, 130K), or use it as inspiration to create your own.
  2. Go outside and record/tick off what you find. Look at trees, plants and leaves closely.
  3. Engage the four senses to look, touch, smell and feel leaves and plants. Avoid tasting.

Cloud bingo

  1. Create a simple bingo sheet with various shapes or objects.
  2. Look out of a window or go outside.
  3. Lie down and look for clouds in the sky above.
  4. Use your imagination to observe shapes/objects in the clouds. Record/tick what you find on your bingo sheet.
