Introduction

Easy, practical activities for getting outdoors with your family and spending time in nature while at home.

Highlights

Share your stories of experiencing nature at home.

Our outdoor activities below have been created for you and your family to engage with nature and enhance your wellbeing.

Time in nature is good for you and your family’s well-being as it reduces stress and anxiety. Going outdoors can increase enthusiasm and focus as well as enhance creativity, problem solving and critical thinking.

You can enjoy nature in your backyard or garden, on your balcony, from the window or around your property. You can be active outdoors by:

  • taking notice of the nature around you,
  • getting curious and answering what, how, why, when and who questions about what you see, and
  • dressing for the weather so it doesn’t put you off.
