Sophie Smith, Canterbury Aoraki Conservation Board, was inspired to become a conservation board member after hearing local people concerned about their environment and 'piece of Aotearoa', which echoed her thoughts on our environment
It makes no difference if you’re a student or retired, a farmer or a tourism operator – you just need a passion for conservation, enough time and energy to perform your role, and to be a good fit for your region’s conservation board.
