DOC, Project Janzoon and Abel Tasman Birdsong Trust have created school education and activity kits based in three sites in the Abel Tasman National Park:
- Anchorage
- Bark Bay
- Marahau Outdoor Education Center.
The activities focus on educating students and teachers about:
- the cultural and natural history of the park
- activities and information on observing the species that you can find at each location
- activities for nighttime, rainy days and before and after your trip.
Some activities are appropriate for all ages and others more suitable for particular age groups.
The education resources are available both online and onsite in the three locations. The onsite kit has all the equipment you need to carry out the activities.
