Introduction

The following areas in the Gisborne area are open for pig hunting and/or deer stalking with certified dogs.

Features

• Raukumara Forest Park (Eastern) - pig and deer hunting
• Kakariki Conservation Area -  pig hunting
• Matawai Conservation Area - pig and deer hunting
• Moanui Conservation Area - pig and deer hunting
• Pihanui Conservation Area - pig hunting
• A maximum of 10 permits are issued per month. Advance booking is required.
• Rewarewa Conservation Area - pig hunting
• Waihi South Conservation Area - pig hunting
• Open for weekends only and limited to one party per weekend. Advance booking is required
• Waikareiti Conservation Area.
