2 April 2015: No road access to Kidds Bush Campsite

Road access is closed from 7 April 2015 until further notice. Kidds Bush Campsite is still open but accessible by boat only, while Mead Road access remains restricted.

Introduction

Camp alongside Lake Hāwea in a large, grassy area with good shade from mountain beech trees. Walk around the lake, go fishing or swimming.
