Working with Wairakei Golf + Sanctuary

Introduction

We work every day to ensure the survival of our special birds. Here’s a story about our work with Wairakei Golf + Sanctuary and with predator control in Tongariro National Park.

The Wairakei sanctuary is a safe place for kiwi chicks to grow strong before being released into the wild.

DOC rangers Ali and Malcolm head along for the day to help ranger Renee track down a kiwi chick and give it a health check.
