This report describes a contaminants’ monitoring program which aims to establish baseline data for monitoring the Manawatu River Estuary.
Of specific interest are the sediment characteristics and what are the potential impacts of the marsh area on the northern bank of the estuary. This marsh/mudflat area is significant bird habitat.
