Follow the Hollyford River from the mountains to the sea, and enjoy first-rate cuisine, knowledgeable guides, personal service and comfortable private lodges in this 3 day guided walk.

Season: 20 October - 17 April

Departs from: Queenstown or Te Anau

Highlights:

  • Start in Queenstown at approx 6:30 am or in Te Anau at approximately 8.45 am
  • Re-trace footsteps of original Maori and early pioneer explorers, as the track undulates gently through native beech forest and beside impressive tumbling waterfalls
  • Experience a scenic jet boat ride along the Hollyford River and down Lake McKerrow, whisking past mountains that rise dramatically above
  • Explore Martin’s Bay Spit, a famous landmark separating the powerful Tasman Sea from the Hollyford Valley
  • Complete each day with a stay in a comfortable private lodge with hot showers, fresh linen and 3 course dining
  • Finish with a scenic helicopter flight into Milford Sound
