There is over 20,000 ha available for hunting in the Western King Country area.
The area is characterised by a mosaic of forest and farmland hill country.
Whareorino and Tawarau Forests have moderate pig numbers. Moderate numbers of wild goats are found in the Waitewhena and Panirau Forests.
Road access is possible into all the popular hunting areas within the Western King Country.
Climate
The coastal Whareorino block enjoys good rainfall levels and crisp temperatures. The other Western King Country blocks are more temperate.
