Taieri Gorge Scenic Reserve hunting
Located in Coastal Otago north of the Catlins hunting in the Otago region
IntroductionYou can find pigs and goats in the Taieri Gorge Scenic Reserve situated above Outram on the true left side of the Taieri River.
This hunting area is covered by an 'open area permit' – get it online or from a DOC office.

About this hunting block
Animals present are pigs and goats.
This area is part of the Taieri Gorge Scenic Reserve and is situated above Outram on the true left side of the Taieri River.
A significant amount of kānuka covers the area, while there are some small areas of broadleaf in the gullies with a number of bluff systems throughout.
Access can be gained off Taioma Road or Taieri View Road with permission from landholders.

Know before you go
Dogs are allowed in this block with a hunting permit. If accessing the block over private land, you must have landholder permission to take your dog, and it must be on a lead.
