This hunting area is covered by an 'open area permit' – get it online or from a DOC office.

General information

This area is situated in the Silverstream valley, northwest of Dunedin.

A significant amount of the area is podocarp and broadleaf, merging into mānuka and snow tussock grasslands on the tops.

Access

Access is via Silverstream Valley Road. The road is suitable for all vehicles.

Dogs are allowed in this block with a hunting permit. If accessing the block over private land, you must have landholder permission to take your dog.
