A well-formed path, suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels, links Tui Crescent to Kakariki Grove. You can also start from Kakariki Grove where the entrance is signposted.
The Kohekohe Walk connects to the Parata and Te Au Tracks if you want a more challenging walk.
The main entrance to Hemi Matenga Scenic Reserve is at Tui Crescent, where there is a small parking area by a reservoir. You can also access the reserve off Kakariki Grove where the entrance is signposted.
