Walk alongside the attractive Waikuku Stream then climb up to good views of the surrounding countryside.2.5 km loop

From the carpark at Te Kauri Lodge, carefully cross the road, SH31, to the Manuka Track and descend down track and steps to the swingbridge.
Then take the Waikuku Track alongside the attractive Waikuku Stream to the wooden bridge and follow signs for the Sheep Track. (Just before the bridge there is a junction with a track that leads to a picnic and campsite.)
The Sheep Track climbs steeply up many steps to an open area with good views of Kawhia and Pirongia. It then leads back around a fence to the Lodge carpark.
The track is accessed off SH31.
When parking, do not block the farm access road.
