Walkers on the Cape Foulwind Walkway
Image: DOC

Explore the spectacular Cape Foulwind Walkway with a seal colony, a lighthouse and big views of mountains and coastline.
  • See New Zealand fur seal/kekeno all year around – the busiest time is the breeding season from November to January.
  • Hang out at Tauranga Bay – bring your bucket and spade and play on the sandy beach, or bring your surfboard/bodyboard and catch some waves.
  • Watch out for cheeky wekas – don't let them steal your picnic!
