Introduction
Explore the spectacular Cape Foulwind Walkway with a seal colony, a lighthouse and big views of mountains and coastline.- See New Zealand fur seal/kekeno all year around – the busiest time is the breeding season from November to January.
- Hang out at Tauranga Bay – bring your bucket and spade and play on the sandy beach, or bring your surfboard/bodyboard and catch some waves.
- Watch out for cheeky wekas – don't let them steal your picnic!

Getting there: From Westport, follow SH67A for 14 km to Cape Foulwind. To access the northern end, turn into Lighthouse Road; to access the southern end, continue south on Tauranga Bay Road and turn into Coast Road.
