Introduction

The tracks here are permanently closed due to kauri dieback.

Highlights

The Kauri Grove Walk, Twin Bole Track, and Russell Forest Walks are permanently closed to prevent the spread of kauri dieback disease and protect our kauri.

Russell Forest's Te Araroa Trail section will undergo kauri protection upgrades during December 2019 and early 2020. This section will stay open, but users should take care around maintenance areas.
