The Motu River is renowned for its unspoiled beauty and isolation.

Rafting the river takes a minimum of 4 days (100 km). It's a Grade 4 river and should only be done by experienced users. There are also a number of commercial rafting companies that offer guided trips.

From the Motu township follow the Motu Falls Road to the river crossing. Rafts can be launched from this point.
