Jolliffe Saddle Track

Located in Hanmer Forest Park in the Canterbury region

This track connects with Dog Stream Track to make up part of the Dog Stream/Timberland Circuit.

This walk begins 1 km up Jollies Pass Rd and meets the Nature Trail and Waterfall Track.

Start at Jollies Pass Rd car park, cross the foot bridge at the picnic area and follow Dog Stream Track. Continue walking upstream to Jolliffe Saddle and climb over the saddle. The downhill Timberlands Trail connects with Woodland Walk.

This links back to the picnic area. Timberlands Trail passes through Pinus radiata that was replanted in 1993.

Hanmer Springs, at an altitude of 385 metres, is 135 kilometres north of Christchurch, off Lewis Pass Highway.

Wasp populations reach high numbers from January to March – wear light coloured clothing and carry antihistamine cream/tablets as a precaution.
