Tribulation Hut is 3 hours 30 minutes (10 km) from a small car park on Double Hill Run Road. Leave SH72 and turn on to Blackford Road, which becomes Double Hill Run Road.

Carparking and track access is on the true right of Redcliffe Stream. 

Redcliffe Stream Scenic Reserve and Hakatere Conservation Park are accessed via private property – keep to the marked easement.
