The next section of the track is through pine forest, descending to a bridge across the Mahurangi River, then climbing via zig-zags to return to a forest road. Turn left and follow this road to Moirs Hill Road.

The south-western section of this track crosses through privately owned pine forest. The track is steep in places and can be rough, slippery and muddy.
