Introduction

Due to recent storm events, a number of Department of Conservation tracks, huts, and campsites in Northland are temporarily closed. Tracks may be damaged or impassable due to fallen trees and/or slips.

Due to recent storm events, a number of Department of Conservation tracks, huts, and campsites in Northland are temporarily closed. Tracks may be damaged or impassable due to fallen trees and/or slips.

Sections of the Te Araroa Trail are also affected.

DOC advises caution using tracks and to be aware of windfall and slips.

Information on track and hut/campsite conditions will be assessed as it is safe for DOC staff to do so. If you come across any windfall please report this to DOC during business hours.
