New hours for Turangi DOC office

Introduction
The Turangi Field Base Department of Conservation reception has new hours of 8am to noon Monday to Friday, with the Turangi I-site staff equipped and keen to answer your conservation recreation questions outside of these hours.Date: 26 September 2013
The Turangi Field Base Department of Conservation reception has new hours of 8am to noon Monday to Friday, with the Turangi I-site staff equipped and keen to answer your conservation recreation questions outside of these hours.
If you have queries or issues regarding Public Conservation Land managed by DOC, please phone or come into the DOC reception on Turanga Place in the mornings.
If you have questions about the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and other local tracks, weather updates, latest track conditions, or need to purchase hut tickets or book Great Walk huts, the Turangi I-site staff are available to help throughout their seven day opening hours. Rhonda Carmichael says, “The I-site have a long standing relationship with DOC and we are looking forward to continuing to help our visitors explore our national park and local walks”.
