The New Zealand Conservation Authority invites you to a public meeting to hear views on the proposal to establish a national park centred on the Waipoua Forest. (Please note that written submissions made previously to the Department of Conservation have been given to the New Zealand Conservation Authority).
It is the role of the New Zealand Conservation Authority to decide whether or not to recommend to the Minister of Conservation that a national park be established.
The meetings are being held as follows:
Friday, 8 March 2013
- Dargaville Town Hall 10.30 am to 1.00 pm
- Matakohe War Memorial Community Hall 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm
Saturday, 9 March 2013
- Aranga Primary School Hall 10:00 am to 12:00 noon
- South Hokianga War Memorial Hall 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
